“The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.” – Henry David Thoreau

Wow, how true. Thoreau saw man’s deep problem. The Bible agrees. Most men are running from God, far from obedience, godly living, forgiveness and peace. Of course they are hurting. Stressed? Freaking? Losing out?

Is there a way out of this desperation?

Jesus said: “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me,  for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.” (Matt. 11.28-30 NAS).

“The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they  might have life, and might have it abundantly.” (Jn 10.10 NAS).
